GLS was founded in 1992 by a group of not-for-profit agencies that provide services and supports to persons with a Developmental Disability. Initially named, The Great Lakes Society (GLS), we have undergone a complete re-branding in 2017 to better reflect the provincial nature of our members' activities.
Specialized Clinical Services
GLS members provide specialized clinical services to help adults and children with a developmental disability who have higher support needs. This can be assessments or treatments or both.
Networking and Advocacy
GLS members are also members of other provincial groups and meet regularly to share information and support
Education
GLS hosts an annual seminar day. The 2022 seminar day was a success. Click here to view the program.
